Pisces is a sensitive sign—both sensitive to criticism and sensitive to others' feelings. Easily touched by human suffering, at least in theory, Pisces wouldn't hurt a fly. They believe in people, are deeply hurt by compassionless human behavior, and have a hard time saying no. Harsh realities are avoided either through escapist behavior or self-delusion; but every now and again reality does raise its ugly head, and hits Pisces over the head. This is a sad time indeed. Pisces retreats into their own world, self-pitying and giving pep talks to themselves ("I will never trust again!"). Rest assured, though, that these periods are rather short-lived and even useful. Pisces seems to derive energy from their (generally short) bouts of self-pity. They come back stronger, with a spring in their step, ready to face the world again, and just as, if not more, compassionate and trusting as they were before. Some might even wonder if Pisces finds pleasure in suffering. Sometimes this is the case, but most of the time, Pisces pulls a lot of creative energy from sadness. Pisces is the poet or artist with angst, although this trait is often more apparent with Moon in Pisces.
Some find Pisces' tendency to be late for appointments, spaced out behavior, and absent-mindedness amount to irresponsibility. Pisces would be shocked to know this, however. Who me? Pisces wonders. Irresponsible? Pisces Suns absolutely care—their love knows no bounds—but their retreats from ordinary life (whether they are as simple as daydreams or actual departures) that they so seem to need every now and again are not always understandable to no-nonsense signs, such as Virgo or Aries.
Many Pisces seem almost allergic to things like shopping lists, maps, directions, and instructions, and for some brave souls, even watches — they prefer to feel their way through life than to follow some plan.
We find plenty of artists, poets, and musicians with Sun (and other personal planets) in Pisces. Piscean themes are woven throughout the songs of Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins and Kurt Cobain of Nirvana, for example.

Pisces is the 12th sign of the zodiac, one of the two mutable signs ruled by Jupiter that has often been associated with a mystical quality. Those individuals in whose charts, the sign of Pisces is prominent, either by virtue of hosting strong planets or the moon, or charts with Pisces rising in the first or personal house, serve as good examples for these attributes. I must quickly point out, for the benefit of beginners, that like other factors in astrology, this Pisces influence is also amenable to being modified (diminished as well as enhanced) in charts and so must be kept in mind when making a horoscopic judgment. Those with prominent Pisces have been called mystic and psychic; they have been labeled as simpletons, and they have been stereotyped as 'those who dwell in deep waters'! They have been cruelly described as "homely" and even unintelligent at times, and have even been portrayed as shrewd. They have been found to be nebulous by some, with their awareness and psychic-ectoplasm hovering between realities, giving the impression that the Pisces is focused on a realm that is neither here nor there! So many diverse labels and such controversies characterize this 'mutable' sign that forms the tail end of the zodiac. Pisces stands for fish and fish is a simple life form, many say. It is also one of the oldest life forms and depicts survival and adaptability without which no life form can aspire to thrive for long. Pisces reminds us of the smell of the seas, the chaotic primordial sea from which creation arose, according to Hindu mythology, as gods and demons churned the ocean of milk and found nectar as well as poison. The secrets that the ocean can hold in its bosom are unfathomable, and yet it is made of transparent water that keeps moving and seems so incapable of hiding anything or keeping something buried within.

Significance of the Summer Solstice:
In pre-historic times, summer was a joyous time of the year for those Aboriginal people who lived in the northern latitudes. The snow had disappeared; the ground had thawed out; warm temperatures had returned; flowers were blooming; leaves had returned to the deciduous trees. Some herbs could be harvested, for medicinal and other uses. Food was easier to find. The crops had already been planted and would be harvested in the months to come. Although many months of warm/hot weather remained before the fall, they noticed that the days were beginning to shorten, so that the return of the cold season was inevitable.
The first (or only) full moon in June is called the Honey Moon. Tradition holds that this is the best time to harvest honey from the hives.
This time of year, between the planting and harvesting of the crops, was the traditional month for weddings. This is because many ancient peoples believed that the "grand [sexual] union" of the Goddess and God occurred in early May at Beltaine. June remains a favorite month for marriage today. In some traditions, "newly wed couples were fed dishes and beverages that featured honey for the first month of their married life to encourage love and fertility. The surviving vestige of this tradition lives on in the name given to the holiday immediately after the ceremony: The Honeymoon."

Aries is the first of the fire signs, it represents our identity. jupiter is about enthusiasm, expansion, where we are willing to go out and make life happen. Jupiter is also conjunct Uranus which represents individualistic freedom, surprising or sudden changes. With this combination basically, ANYTHING is possible. Feeling courageous is always a great feeling but making intelligent decisions is also important. As we are getting acquainted with these new and exciting energies, let's find positive outlets while exploring all of our new possibilities. When thinking of it on a global level, what changes do we as a people need to make to create positive changes for our future? How can we be part of the solution to issues and not add to the problems? What is it that needs to be tweaked?

The Vestal Virgins were the priestesses of Vesta in charge of maintaining the sacred fire within the Temple of Vesta on the Forum Romanum. They were the only female priests within the roman religious system.
The vestal virgins were selected from distinguished patrician families at an age from three to ten. A vestal virgin served thirty years. The first ten years as novices, then ten years as vestal virgins proper, and at last ten years as supervisors. After the thirty years of duty they were free, also to marry. Marrying a former vestal virgin was highly prestigious.
The order of the vestal virgins were led by the senior member, the Virgo Vestalis Maxima. The vestal virgins were under the protection of the pontifex maximus.
The vestals vowed to live in chastity for the thirty years their tenure lasted. As compensation they had many privileges not given to ordinary Roman women. The vestals were not subject to the pater potestas of their father, they could handle their own property and write a legally binding testament, they had special seats in the front row at the games where women normally were relegated to the back seats and they were allowed to move around in the city in a carriage. Their persons were inviolable and sacred and their blood could not be spilt. If a person sentenced to death, met a vestal virgin on his way to the execution, he was automatically pardoned.
The punishment for breaking the vow of chastity was death by burial alive—the only way to kill a vestal without shedding her blood—in a place known as the "Evil Fields", or Campus Sceleratus, just outside the Servian Wall. Their lover would be flogged to death on the Comitium. The execution of one or more vestal virgins were carried out several times, but very infrequently.
