Classical Feng Shui versus Popular Feng Shui methods

Deciding which form of Feng Shui makes sense to you is your choice.

Classical Feng Shui, also known as Authentic or Traditional Feng Shui has been used effectively by Feng Shui Masters for centuries. It involves a scientific, yet practical and common sense approach to the enhancement of success and good fortune to the occupants of home or building. It is both a science and an art. It can be considered a science because it relies heavily on the use of complex formulae and a specialised compass known as a Lo Pan. It is an art to be able to read the compass, to read the landscape and a building and apply these formulae. It takes time, patience, practise and an enormous amount of study to master the skills necessary to be a competent Feng Shui practitioner.

Classical Feng Shui methods take into account the more subtle aspects of time, direction, room location and room function and an individual’s resonance with various aspects of the building. Through Classical Feng Shui a practitioner recognises the power of the land and therefore the significant impact the external environment can have on a property and its occupants.

The power of Classical Feng Shui to support effortless change (without the need for lucky charms) needs to be experienced to be truly appreciated. This deeper level of the practice can bring profound and sustained personal change. It can bring luck (better luck if you are already lucky), a sense of having enough, harmony and balance. It can bring unexpected opportunities and chances for promotion and advancement. It can bring a deeper sense of who you are. Classical Feng Shui helps you to move with the currents of change over time and to reach your true potential.

The Lo P'an

The use of a compass or Chinese Lo P'an is a tool that genuine Feng Shui Masters or practitioners use. The compass was invented by the Chinese during the Chou dynasty, and later it was developed into a complicated and intricate tool known as the Lo P'an used by Feng Shui Masters. This beautiful instrument may contain as many as 36 rings, each ring contains part of the formulas used to assess and adjust the Feng Shui. There are specific rings to measure water(known as the heaven plate), mountains (known as the human plate), and buildings (known as the earth plate).

•Feng Shui, originally known as Kan Yu is about living in harmony with nature. By living in harmony, we are able to harness the beneficial energies (known as Chi) to better their lives.

•An ancient Science that dates back to some 3500 years.

•Wind and Water. Direction and Chi

The Concept of the Universe~

Tien Di Ren= The Cosmic Trinity

•Heaven Luck~ is easily explained as destiny with a dose of luck thrown in. We are born with this fate; it is believed that we can not change this part which affects what part of our lives.

•Man Luck~ is what we achieve through hard work, education, perseverence, virtues and our deeds. This roughly affects what part of our lives and is a largely controllable aspect brought about by our choices we make in our lives.

•Earth Luck~ is where Feng Shui comes in. The act of harnessing the energy or forces of nature. This is left solely in our hands to do with as we please. By practicing Feng Shui principles, we can induce the positive aspects conferred by Heaven Luck and reduce the negative.

Feng Shui is the Chinese science of the environment. Feng Shui is the art of harmonizing the forces of nature known as Chi to promote health, harmony and prosperity for the living. Feng Shui is much more than just an art of placement. It is a study of the environment and how the energies of the environment interact with the individual dwellings.

Feng Shui is an art that involves judgement and understanding that maximizes the potential of the environment. I believe we all use Feng Shui everyday of our lives. How many times have you gone to a certain place or environment and experienced different sensations or feelings. Each area carries a certain vibration and resonates to the land. The Earth is a magnificent being. It's beauty is breathtaking.

What the CHI???

•Chi is the energy or life-force of the Universe

•The unseen vibes that give life to all beings

•An intrinsic force that permeates and surrounds the universe. Chi's influence can be felt from the highest mountains, to the deepest oceans. It is said that the force of Chi holds not boundaries even through time.

•••How can we harness Chi?

•Feng Shui enables man to harness the Chi of the envoronment

•Martial Arts and Chi Gung helps us cultivate Chi in our body

•Meditation provides the means of refining the Chi of mind or psyche

THE CONCEPT OF YIN AND YANG the Fundamentals of Feng Shui

•The concept of equillibrium and harmony

•Positive and negative

•Aggressive and passive

•Chi can also be yin or yang

All things in the universe are in a constant state of change. The interaction of yin and yang.

And the Wise Ones pray every morning immediately after rising,"Heavenly Father, may I during this day and until I again close my eyes in sleep, not be made the instrument of JUDGEMENT against any brother or sister of mine."

quote from...The hidden Treasures of the Ancient Qabalah by Elias Gewurz

God used the stars as an illustration of His promise to give Abraham an innumerable seed (Genesis 15:5). Thus, every time Abraham looked up at the night sky, he had a reminder of God’s faithfulness and goodness. The final judgment of the earth will be accompanied by astronomical events relating to the stars (Isaiah 13:9-10; Joel 3:15; Matthew 26:29).

“And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. (Luke 11:9-10)
